Safe-H20-Farm at the 20th European Weed Research Society Symposium on “Joint approaches for sustainable weed management”

As leader of WP3 on the reduction of the use of pesticide in PRIMA Safe-H20-Farm Project, Euro Pannacci (Department of Agricultural, Food and Environmental Sciences, University of Perugia, Italy), partecipated in the EWRS Symposium 2025 held in Lleida, Spain.

Organized by Agrotecnio- Fundació Centre de Recerca en Agrotecnologia and the Weed Science and Plant Ecology Group at the Universitat de Lleida (UdL), this international

event also marks the 50th anniversary of the #EWRS.

With more than 350 researchers and professionals from over 40 countries, the symposium covers key topics such as:

– Herbicide resistance and invasive species

– Agroecological weed management

– Artificial intelligence and precision agriculture

– Ecosystem services, biodiversity, and integrated strategies.

Euro presented his research in the poster section on “herbicides and application technology” focusing on the evaluation of integrated weed control methods to reduce herbicides input in processing tomato.
